Job DescriptionLead clinical excellence in patient-centered care as our Clinical Nurse Specialist in Day Oncology. In this expert role, you will guide a dedicated team, administer specialized treatments, and ensure the highest standards of safety and support for oncology patients. It is a fantastic opportunity for an advanced clinician to champion best practices and make a meaningful difference every day.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Clinical Services you will assist in supervising, leading, directing and motivating staff, while promoting a friendly and supportive work environment.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate an advanced level of clinical and leadership skills by leading and guiding staff, working in a multi-disciplinary team and promoting the core values of nursing, the hospital and Ramsay Health Care. Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills and your effective interpersonal skills will also assist you in this role.
You will also bring:
- Relevant registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- A Minimum of three (3) years post registration (RN) experience
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
- Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills
- Knowledge of Quality / Continuous Improvement processes
- Demonstrated knowledge / experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects
- Excellent time management skills and be able to adapt to a changing environment
- Post-graduate education/qualification in radiation/oncology treatment or progressing towards it.
- Willingness to obtain further education in complex chemotherapy management
- Desired but not essential, experience in an outpatient clinic/setting.
