JOB SUMMARYThe clinical nurse manager oversees the daily operations of the practice. The clinical nurse manager is responsible for the clinical operational aspect of the practice. Additionally, the manager will assess and provide recommendations for practice improvement as requested by Leadership. Directs the daily operations with responsibilities including staffing and human resource management; oversees training and orientation for staff and provides ongoing supervision and evaluation of staff. Responsible for daily staffing, staff scheduling, payroll, supply and ordering, overseeing timely billing and patient care, maximizing patient flow/scheduling and optimizing the work environment to facilitate open communications and professional excellence. Promotes teamwork and facilitates a smooth flow of daily operations of the practice. Provides friendly, caring service that shows respect for customers and associates that meets their needs and exceeds expectations.
The staff nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. Responsible for providing patient care with an understanding and awareness of age specific needs. Addresses the biological, emotional, development, psychosocial and patient/family education needs in providing care to the patient family. The nurse is responsible for delivering patient care in complex, multiple problem patient care situations. In addition to patient care delivery, the nurse is responsible for patient, family/support system education, coordination of activities, staff development, and professional and self-developmental activities. The nurse is able to independently perform job functions. The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all Wound Care Center and hospital policies and procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
Licensure: Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. BLS required, ACLS preferred.
Experience: Two years’ experience in an acute care setting preferred. Ambulatory care experience desirable.
Skills: BLS certification required
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, and medical or employment status or patients of Bradley Medical Center/ Wound Treatment Center and their families.
Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.
Participate in Performance improvement activities.
Utilize the nursing process to oversee and provide age specific patient care.
Communicate in an acceptable and easily understood manner.
Develops, implements, and updates plans of care.
Educates and adhere to patient bill of rights.

Skills Required
