Job Description

Our Coronary and Intensive Care Units are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team providing care to a range of patients in need of critical care. The Clinical Nurse (ICU/CCU) provides advanced, specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring complex life support, continuous monitoring, and rapid clinical interventions. Acting as a clinical leader within the multidisciplinary team, this role ensures high-quality, evidence-based care and provides vital support to patients' families during high-acute, life-threatening situations.

 

An experienced Clinical Nurse providing advanced, patient-centred care in a critical care environment, acting as a clinical resource with strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The role supports staff education, clinical leadership, and continuous improvement while managing complex and acute patient situations. Requires current AHPRA registration and a postgraduate qualification in Critical Care (ICU/CCU) with relevant specialty experience to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and optimise patient outcomes.

About You
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Completed a relevant Graduate Critical Care Certification (Essential)
  • Minimum 4 years post graduate experience in the speciality area
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
  • Clinical leadership experience is desirable but not essential.
