Performs both inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy procedures and serves as a resource for the troubleshooting and problem-solving of all specimen collection, processing, receiving, and distribution processes.

Collects and processes blood specimens.
2. Coordinates staff, maintains staffing schedule and lab assistance staff support to call center.
3. Assists hospital personnel on draw orders, draw volumes and hard-to-draw patients.
4. Trains phlebotomists including coordination of testing and documentation.
5. Performs clerical duties including data entry, stocking, supply maintenance, cleaning equipment and documentation.
6. Supports department supervisor in the review and update of procedures.
7. Oversees the review of the Client and Out-Patient referred requisitions.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years related phlebotomy experience
- One phlebotomy or medical laboratory assistant certification (acceptable national certifications)
- Full-time day availability, Monday–Friday (clinic hours)
