Lenape Valley Foundation’s Acute Partial Hospitalization Program offers an opportunity for Graduate level students to work in an acute PHP delivering evidenced based care in a supportive caring environment. The Acute Partial Hospital Program is a comprehensive, short-term daily treatment program that provides therapeutic support for adults struggling with acute mental health challenges and substance abuse issues. The internship opportunity affords the graduate level intern exposure working within a dynamic team approach, offering evidenced based therapies, collaborative assessment, and management of psychiatric symptoms. The Acute Partial Hospital Program operates Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide group and individual therapy with opportunities to learn and practice evidenced based treatment approaches.
- Complete comprehensive documentation that includes biopsychosocial evaluations, treatment planning, and daily progress notes.
- Collaborate with a cohort of interns, professional staff, and prescribers.
- Support a therapeutic milieu which establishes clear goals for the individual patient’s recovery journey.
What We Require:
- Enrollment in a graduate clinical counseling program that has a required practicum or internship.
- Have completed at least one graduate level course in psychopathology.
- Interest in and/or experience with group process/therapy.
- A willingness to expand knowledge base.
- Ability to provide services on-site, this is not a virtual position.
- Ability to commit to at least a two day/week schedule for a period of two semesters.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the internship, with or without accommodation.
