Pay Scale: $24-$26/hr.

Summary:

Under direct and indirect supervision, the clinical education specialist is responsible for assisting the team with ensuring clinical staff have the trainings needed to fulfill their roles as indicated by service definition, clinical need, and clinical policy. This includes providing trainings, ensuring required trainings are offered in a timely fashion as well as assisting human resources and clinical leadership with ensuring trainings are completed.  Works directly with training team lead to schedule, coordinate and monitor performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct initial and ongoing training /education and support to clinical staff in person and virtually to ensure strict compliance with all professional standards, HIPAA, Medicaid, CARF, and state service definitions. Ensures all clinical staff have access to and complete required trainings, including Person-Centered Thinking, Mindset Foundations, Mindset Restrictive Interventions, and others. Works with Clinical management to provide training solutions by participating in research, meetings, needs assessments, etc.   Maintains knowledge of Daymark clinical programs and their associated training requirements. Develops new courses and create these in the Paycom Learning Management System to maintain a well-trained staff.
  • Provides initial and ongoing education and support to all staff on utilizing the Paycom Learning Management System. 
  • Collaborates with other team members to ensure cross-training of staff in key areas.  
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Special Attributes: 

  • Must possess a great attitude, pleasant personality, work well with others, have a strong commitment to patient care, understand clinical workflows, knowledge of the behavioral healthcare field, adequate computer skills, and training experience. 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must meet qualifications of a behavioral health qualified professional (QP). A bachelor’s degree in a human service field with two years MH/SA/IDD experience with the population served; or a bachelor’s degree in a non-human service field and at least four years of full-time experience working with the MH/SU/IDD population.
    AND
  • Experience in teaching or mentoring within a clinical environment with preference to persons who have been a licensed teacher.  Experience in corporate training or related field a plus.

Skills Required

  • Meet behavioral health Qualified Professional (QP) qualifications through either a bachelor's degree in a human service field plus two years of MH/SA/IDD experience, or a bachelor's degree in a non-human service field plus at least four years of full-time experience with MH/SU/IDD populations.
  • Experience teaching or mentoring within a clinical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral healthcare and clinical workflows.
  • Adequate computer skills and training experience.
  • Licensed teacher experience.
  • Corporate training or related experience.
