The CDI Quality Analyst is critical for the internal audit of CDI processes, including query appropriateness and identifying opportunities for improvement. This role develops actions plans to identify and escalate knowledge gaps to the CDI Educator and CDI leadership team.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Perform audit functions to assess the CDI performance, identify knowledge gaps and assure compliance with all industry standards and departmental policies.
Oversee the auditing program to ensure accurate and compliant query practices.
Support coworkers as they work to meet CDI quality standards.
Analyze findings from reviews to identify trends that do not align with established policies and procedures and shares finding with CDI Education team for growth and development.
Act as a resource for the CDI staff on clinical and coding issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare related field - Required
7 years Acute Care Nursing - Preferred
3 years Direct CDI Experience - Required
Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board - Preferred
CDI Certification - Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) - Required within 180 Days
Approachable and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with providers and multidisciplinary teams - Required
Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable using Excel for CDI audits, tracking, and documentation - Required
Ability to independently research and apply CDI-related clinical guidelines, with a strong interest in continuous learning and education - Required
