Position Summary
Plans, coordinates, and implements nutritional therapy services for assigned patient populations within a behavioral health setting. This is a remote position.
Essential Functions
- Assesses patient nutritional status and identifies individual dietary needs
- Develops, implements, and monitors patient-specific nutrition care plans
- Evaluates patient responses to nutrition interventions and adjusts plans accordingly
- Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate medical nutrition therapy
- Partners with departmental leadership to ensure nutritionally appropriate menus, food selections, and services for patients and visitors
- Provides education, training, and counseling to patients, staff, and community members on topics such as eating disorders, weight management, and therapeutic diets
- Supports organizational initiatives related to nutrition, wellness, and patient outcomes

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-stress healthcare environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field (required)
- Experience: Clinical nutrition experience preferred, particularly in behavioral health or acute care settings
License: An active license is required in the candidate's state of residence.

- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
