Department: Comprehensive Integrated Pain Program – Interventional Pain Service (CIPP-IPS)
Reports to: Manager
Salary Range: $45.85 - $57.31 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Days (0700-1500)
Status:  Temporary Full-Time (6-8 months)
Closing Date: May 15, 2026

Position Summary
The Clinical Coordinator for the Comprehensive Integrated Pain Program – Interventional Pain Service (CIPP-IPS) will be based at the University Health Network-Toronto Western Hospital (UHN-TWH). The Clinical Coordinator practice is grounded in the values, knowledge and theories of the professional nursing practice emphasizing health promotion and prevention of illness.

Duties
The Clinical Coordinator will function as a resource to patients, families, and health care professionals. Additionally, the RN will participate in practice and the development of standards, processes and quality initiatives enhancing the care for patients of the CIPP-IPS and UHN-TWH at large. The position will involve a combination of clinic- and procedure-related work. 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Completion of a recognized Master’s degree nursing program preferred
  • Certificate of competency (licensure) from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program, Level II Rescuer certification 
  • A minimum of 5 years recent relevant nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in chronic pain management preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge and clinical competence in caring for an adult chronic pain population or patients with disabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Effective decision-making, problem recognition, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice.
  • Ability to function collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and/or independently, and and under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Demonstrated awareness of and adherence to professional and ethical standards
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
  • Computer literacy
  • Research experience preferred
