The Department of Nursing invites applications for a Full-Time Nursing Faculty position. We seek an enthusiastic, student-centered nurse educator committed to preparing the next generation of professional nurses through excellence in teaching, clinical instruction, advising, and service.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate nursing courses in classroom, laboratory, simulation, online, and clinical settings.
- Implement and evaluate curriculum and student learning.
- Advise and mentor nursing students.
- Supervise students in clinical experiences and ensure safe, effective learning.
- Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation activities, and committee service.
- Maintain professional competence through continued practice and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
- Active, unencumbered Virginia RN license or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in nursing education or demonstrated teaching ability preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
