ROLE SUMMARY
The Clinic Application Administrator will assist and coordinate support, modifications, and enhancements to the functionality of the applications utilized at Clinics, resulting from changes to internal business processes and industry legislative and commercial requirements. Applications require continual improvement.
The incumbent will need to work closely with business and gain an understanding of their requirements as well as the users and the third-party software vendors to ensure continued success of IT as a support function to the business.

KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION

Business application management

  • Assist in the preparation and update of standard operating procedures to be followed when using or requesting changes to the business applications
  • Assist in producing user requirement specifications with users for any modifications and/or bug fixes
  • Assist in testing and the change management processes are followed
  • Ensure that the required training per application has been completed in-line with audit requirements prior to user creation
  • Provide support and maintenance of the Medicross and Prime Cure Application Master files

Customer support

  • Provide support to Finance and Operations at the clinics for the billing application, Elive and Electronic Medical Record Application (EMR), HEAL.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support to Medicross clinics for software applications.
  • Work closely with Medicross commissioning team in the deployment and closure of new clinics

EDUCATION

Required

  • Matric or related NQF level 4 qualification

Preferred

  • IT Qualification
  • Business Process Qualification

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 3+ years Health Practice Computer Management System experience
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • IT System Application Support to geographically distributed sites
  • 2+ years Netcare group experience

KNOWLEDGE

Required

  • IT Systems knowledge
  • Knowledge of primary healthcare Clinic Business Processes and basic understanding of basic accounting and stock management principles
  • 2+ years Netcare group experience
