Position Highlights
POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse serves as a resource nurse who plans, coordinates, evaluates, provides for, and delivers health care services to patients. The Medical Assistant provides support in the medical field by performing various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
LPN or RN:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
A current Iowa license as an LPN or RN is required.
Six months previous ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of nursing practice, including the ability to make sound judgments in clinical situations.
CMA:
High school diploma or equivalents. Graduate of an approved school for medical assistants. Certification as a medical assistant within six months of hire. Minimum of six months previous work experience in a health care facility performing duties related to patient care is preferred.
All:
Computer skills preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers.
Organizational skills, with attention to detail, including time management and workflow required.
Understanding of teaching/learning principles.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Obtain certification in BCLS within three months of hire/in position.
Skills Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for LPN or RN applicants
- Current Iowa license as an LPN or RN
- Six months of previous ambulatory care nursing experience
- Advanced knowledge of nursing practice and ability to make sound clinical judgments
- High school diploma or equivalent for CMA applicants
- Graduate of an approved medical assistant school for CMA applicants
- Medical assistant certification within six months of hire for CMA applicants
- Six months of previous healthcare facility experience involving patient care for CMA applicants
