The Role
Provides front-desk and telephone reception for a brain injury treatment center. Responsibilities include managing calls and visitors, transferring calls, relaying messages, handling mail, maintaining office supplies and contact records, setting up patient referral files, processing personnel materials, and coordinating radio communications with transportation. The role is full time, Monday through Friday, and requires a high school diploma or GED; receptionist experience and light typing are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Receptionist receives incoming telephone calls and visitors to the Centre, determines the nature of the call or visit and then directs the call or visitor to the appropriate persons or channels. Other duties include handling incoming and outgoing mail, taking resumes and/or applications, dispensing personnel paychecks/stubs, checking the clerical supply room, keeping and updating records and information related to business and personnel telephone numbers and addresses and setting up data files on new patient referrals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manages the telephone switchboard. Receives incoming calls, determines the nature of the calls, transfers calls to appropriate people, takes and relays messages, places long distance calls, maintains an updated intercom listing and makes general announcements over the intercom.
  • Receives incoming visitors to CNS. Screens visitors and requests, determines nature of the visit, locates the appropriate person, provides information requested and takes/delivers written and verbal messages to appropriate personnel.
  • Handles mailing procedures.
  • Maintains office supplies.
  • Conducts two-way radio transmissions with transportation as needed.

Full Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Educational Background: High school graduation or G.E.D. required.    
  • Work Experience: One year of experience as receptionist with light typing preferred
