The Radiology Operations Supervisor works independently with limited supervision under the Radiology Manager and in coordination with radiologists, physicians, nursing, vendors, and other operational leaders. The role combines technical radiology oversight with broader healthcare operations management, ensuring efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, high quality imaging, and excellent patient experience. This position supports safe and effective daily operations, staff development, continuous quality improvement, resource management, and the implementation of policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical & Technical Radiology Oversight
  • Perform and oversee daily image Quality Control; provide corrective direction to staff when imaging standards are not met
  • Ensure efficient patient flow across all imaging modalities, with particular attention to preventing delays for orthopedic and high volume clinics
  • Oversee room turnover, cleanliness, and stocking of supplies after each patient encounter and for next day preparation
  • Ensure timely completion of mandatory weekly fluoroscopy checks, daily fluoro logs, oxygen checks, and equipment safety workflows
  • Coordinate physicist annual inspections and vendor preventative maintenance schedules

Healthcare Operations, Program Oversight & Policy Implementation:
  • Coordinate the delivery of imaging services in alignment with organizational care pathways and health service policies
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental programs, workflow performance, throughput metrics, compliance readiness, and service quality indicators
  • Support organizational quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives

Leadership, Staff Management & Training:
  • Ensure staffing adequacy across technical and support personnel to meet daily operational demands
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, performance counseling, disciplinary actions, and staff development
  • Coordinate and conduct staff orientation, in services, and ongoing training
  • Lead at least quarterly departmental meetings with participation from the Radiology Director
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, urgency, professionalism, and confidentiality

Regulatory, Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, and MQSA
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and ensure proper use of radiation monitoring devices
  • Oversee adherence to infection control procedures and equipment safety protocols
  • Ensure PH&S Audits receive a passing score

Resource, Equipment & Inventory Management:
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet operational, patient, and provider needs
  • Partner with vendors to ensure timely repairs, supply chain needs, and equipment maintenance
  • Monitor operational resource utilization and support departmental cost efficiency initiatives

Cross Functional Collaboration & Special Projects:
  • Assist the Radiology Manager with projects aimed at operational improvement or program development
  • Engage in organizational initiatives related to patient access, quality improvement, safety, technology optimization, or patient experience

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Managed care and/or ambulatory care experience
  • Experience leading projects or team
  • Resilient and adaptive to changing environments
  • Demonstrates an innovative and continuous improvement mindset
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT and CRT certifications, including Fluoroscopy permit
  • Experience using PACS and Radiology Information Systems
  • Knowledge and comfort with computer processes and digital workflows
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to instruct and lead teams
  • Ability to remain composed in fast paced situations, multitask efficiently, maintain accuracy, and anticipate operational needs
  • Ability to work with enthusiasm, cooperation, urgency, and maintain confidentiality

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
