POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinic Operations Manager (COM) has administrative oversight and is directly responsible for directing, organizing, and planning all of the CHC’s clinic day-to-day operations, program initiatives, and patient accesses related to the revenue cycle management of WCCHC for assigned primary care and/or specialty care clinics. The COM has administrative oversight and is directly responsible for development, education, and training processes and procedures implementation and completion of new clinic employee orientation and on-boarding, remedial training, and annual/periodic competency review requirements/training of WCCHC for assigned primary care and/or specialty care clinics.
The COM works in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) and Director of Quality Assurance (DQA) in the development, planning, and implementation of strategic processes for operational improvements for all primary care and/or specialty care clinics. The COM works in collaboration with the Leadership Team and in alignment with the organization’s mission to successfully implement and maintain the strategic focus and plans for the primary care and/or specialty care clinics.
The COM oversees and manages the day-to-day activities and services of assigned primary care and/or specialty care clinics to insure effective and efficient clinic operations. The COM provides overall leadership and direction to all clinic support staff as related to the essential functions of this position.
This position is a member of the Health Center’s Department Head Committee and participates actively in the development of systems and functions related to clinic operations, quality improvement, pay for performance, development, education and training, and clinic outcome measurements. This position also establishes partnerships focused on the priorities of the Health Center while facilitating the organization’s philosophy of collaboration and partnership and upholding the policies and guidelines.
Education/Experience:
1. Education Requirement:
a) RN, BSN - active and unencumbered license in the State of Hawaii OR
b) LPN – active and unencumbered license in the State of Hawaii OR
c) Bachelors or Master Degree in Business Management or Healthcare Management
2. Experience in Lieu of Education Requirement:
a. Minimum of 10 (ten) years of clinic operations experience in healthcare
management or related healthcare environment AND
b. Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in health information, quality
improvement, and risk/utilization management AND
c. Minimum 2 (two) years of clinical experience in an outpatient clinic environment
3. Other Requirements
a. Current and valid Hawaii State Driver’s License and access to an insured automobile
b. BLS/CPR certification
4. Other Desirable Experience/Skills
a. Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACCESS, knowledge of databases and
related statistical methodologies
b. Experience in community health and working with culturally diverse populations
c. Comfortable in working in a managed care/multi-professional setting

Skills Required
