Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in phlebotomy or a related field required.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Proficiency in handling and processing biological specimens.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized certifying body.
• Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably within a healthcare facility.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and regulatory compliance standards such as CLIA and OSHA.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and prepare biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests using manual and automated techniques according to established protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Record and analyze test results, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting to healthcare providers.
• Adhere to all safety, quality control, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
• Assist in inventory management by ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to troubleshoot issues and improve laboratory processes.
