Climate Solutions is a unit within Sustainability business unit of ISS STOXX. As investors seek to gain a better understanding of their exposure to climate-related risks, Climate Solutions provides data, analytics, and advisory services to support investors to understand, measure, and act on climate related risks & opportunities and its impact on investments across all asset classes. ISS Stoxx Climate Team is working closely with its clients to help them with risk analysis and is looking for passionate team members to work extensively on climate products. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust operational processes, documentation standards, audit readiness, and effective implementation of methodology and regulatory changes across the climate business.
Responsibilities:Act as the central point of coordination between climate teams, internal stakeholders, and auditors to support successful audit execution and remediation activities.
Work closely with teams supporting a broad portfolio of climate products, methodologies, and related services.
Serve as a primary coordinator for SOC audit activities and related control frameworks.
Support controls testing, evidence collection, audit preparation, and remediation tracking.
Coordinate responses to audit requests and maintain supporting documentation throughout the audit cycle.
Coordinate activities across research, methodology, product, technology, information security, development, and audit functions to ensure effective governance and control execution.
Drive operational excellence across Climate products, services, and methodologies through effective process management and continuous improvement initiatives by supporting consistent use of operational tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Maintain and promote best practices for documentation, workflows, and operational controls across the Climate organization.
Establish and maintain documentation standards across Climate products, methodologies, and operational processes in close collaboration with broader ISS Stoxx initiatives.
Ensure methodologies, process documentations, FAQs, and related materials remain current, accurate, and appropriately maintained by the responsible team leads.
Coordinate periodic reviews of operational documentation and ensure clear ownership of key documents.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality through automation and process optimization.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in governance, operational excellence, audit coordination, process management, compliance, business operations, PMO, documentation management, or related functions.
Relevant master’s degree (environmental science, environmental engineering, economics, climate change studies etc.).
Familiarity or demonstrated interest in Climate, ESG, Sustainability, Sustainable Finance, or related domains. Previous experience supporting climate or ESG-related products, services, or operational processes
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Excellent command of Excel and good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Integrity, organizational skills, high attention to detail, a self-driven work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to work with a highly collaborative, flexible, and innovative team across different locations.
Regular work hours with slight flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and clients in different time zones.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and successfully manage priorities with limited supervision.
Exposure to Python, automation tools, AI tools, workflow automation, or other technologies supporting process improvement
