Job Description:
Highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Climate and Environmental Disclosure team. Reporting to the Head of Climate and Environmental Disclosure, this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company’s environmental and climate-related disclosures, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, climate related risks and opportunities, and other sustainability metrics.
As a core member of a small, dynamic team, this role will support the preparation of regulatory filings, voluntary sustainability reports, and related disclosures. The individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders across sustainability, risk, legal and CFO to gather and validate data, develop insights, and maintain compliance with emerging global standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving area, contributing directly to the Bank’s sustainability strategy and compliance efforts.
Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Reporting
• Gather and validate data for climate and environmental disclosures, including GHG emissions, energy use, and other sustainability metrics.
• Support the preparation of regulatory filings (e.g., CSRD reports) and voluntary reports (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
• Assist in maintaining a centralized inventory for climate and environmental disclosure metrics.
Compliance and Analysis
• Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and frameworks related to climate and environmental reporting, ensuring the company remains in compliance.
• Analyze trends and identify areas of improvement in climate and environmental disclosure metrics.
Collaboration and Communication
• Partner with internal teams (e.g., sustainability, CFO , risk, legal) to ensure data consistency and alignment across reporting deliverables.
• Support cross-functional projects, including data validation and the development of disclosures for group and legal entity level reports
Process Improvement
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, validation, and disclosure.
• Leverage technology to streamline workflows and improve reporting capabilities.
Support Senior Leadership
• Assist with ad hoc analyses, presentations, and other deliverables as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in sustainability reporting or a related field
- Familiarity with climate and environmental reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, GRI, SASB, CSRD, SEC climate rules) and GHG Protocol standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with environmental data platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., SASB FSA, GHG Protocol)
