DM Payroll Solutions is seeking a Client Support Associate in our Troy, Michigan office.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and maintain payroll, employee, tax, deduction, benefit, and client information accurately within payroll software.
  • Configure software database.
  • Review data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Process client-submitted payroll information and identify missing, inconsistent, or questionable data.
  • Receive, document, prioritize, and respond to client issues, questions, and software-related requests.
  • Troubleshoot basic payroll software issues and escalate complex matters.
  • Maintain detailed records of client communications, issue status, resolutions, and follow-up activities.
  • Conduct software demonstrations and assist clients with system setup, navigation, and routine payroll tasks.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties, including filing, scanning, data organization, document preparation, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with data audits, quality-control reviews, software testing, and implementation activities.
  • Protect confidential payroll, employee, financial, and client information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are addressed accurately and promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional coursework in business, accounting, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in payroll, data entry, customer service, office administration, or software support preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn and navigate payroll, accounting, or business software systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-service-oriented approach with the ability to remain professional and patient when resolving client concerns.
  • Ability to explain technical or software-related information clearly to individuals with varying levels of experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
