The Korn Ferry Tour Championship is the season-finale for the Korn Ferry Tour, with the players that finish in the top 20 in points earning their PGA TOUR cards for the following season. The 2026 event will take place October 5 – 11 at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, VA. The Client Services Intern is responsible for assisting the Tournament Manager and the Sales team with the management of client hospitality fulfillment and sponsorship activation. The tournament has over 150 clients engaged in sponsorship, hospitality and the Pro-Am, in addition to many other special events hosted throughout tournament week.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduating senior or graduate student from an accredited four-year college or university or currently possess a bachelor's degree
- Sports Marketing/Management, Marketing, Management, Communications, or comparable majors preferred
- Eligible to work in the United States; International students must have all visas and employment authorizations
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Public relations skills and ability to communicate with staff, corporate clients, volunteers, club members and public
- Must take initiative, operate proactively, and think independently in project management and problem solving
- Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously
- Self-discipline with schedule and time management
- Organization, attention to detail and follow-through are crucial
- Ability to stand for lengthy periods and to lift/move boxes of supplies and apparel potentially weighing 45 pounds or more
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Communication and public relations with corporate clients
- Tracking of contracts, client information, deal sheets and accounts receivable
- Coordination of client asset fulfillment
- Assist corporate clients with tournament partnership including accessing and managing digital tickets
- Participate in outreach to group grounds ticket sales prospects
- Curate and distribute the tournament’s monthly sponsor newsletter and ticket holder newsletter
- Assist with execution of Executive Women’s Day, the Pro-Am and Honorary Observer program
- Oversee client services during tournament week
- Assist with Tournament’s grassroots marketing campaign, working with local partners to promote the event
- Assist with Tournament social media and marketing
- Assist with event pre-planning & logistics
- Work closely with the Tournament’s title sponsor consortium and host club
- Assist with other Tournament and Sales related duties as assigned
