Job Summary:
The Client Representative performs account transactions, summaries, endorsements, certificates, binders, billing, follow-up and correspondence on assigned accounts.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in preparing insurance company submissions as directed by Client Manager or Client Executive.
- Manage the client service cycle and monitor timeframes and renewal deadlines.
- Develop thorough understanding of client businesses, their policies, practices and industries.
- Review documents for accuracy prior to customer delivery.
- Respond timely to client inquiries, incoming agency management system and company requests.
- Review and order renewals according to agency procedures. Document receipt of renewals and investigate non-renewals. Ensure that all policies are renewed on a timely basis.
- Review new business and endorsements to ensure items were received as ordered.
- Prepare billing following agency’s credit and collection policies.
- Possess knowledge of agency management systems and underwriting requirements of carriers, in addition to policy provisions and changes.
- Ability to rate and issue policies and endorsements through carrier website.
- Create and maintain client files and process transactions on agency management system.
- Maintain basic knowledge of insurance/area of specialty.
- Understand and stay current with technical and professional standards.
- Service clients in accordance with PAR E&O professional service standards, E&O Plus quality management guidelines, and other practice guidelines.
- Provide good customer service both internally and externally.
- Comply with all E&O Plus, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of carrier practices.
- Participate in special projects at management’s request.

Minimum Education / Abilities / Skills:
- High School diploma or GED, plus one to two years of insurance experience with handling accounts at a high level of responsibility; a bachelor’s degree in business or other related field is a plus.
- Experience with Applied EPIC is desired, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for positive interaction with customers and co-workers, supporting the team concept of the department.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge, skills and effective use of office equipment, primarily computer, telephone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
- Ability to learn third party computer programs/sites.
- Ability to be productive and anticipate next steps in the process.
- Possess critical thinking skills to offer alternative products or services to clients.
- Possess necessary accounting and analytical skills.
