Job Description:

Overview

TD Wealth Operations, part of Wealth National Office, is the operational engine of TD Wealth. Supporting all TD Wealth distribution channels, TD Mutual Funds, TD Asset Management, and TD Securities, our goal is to be recognized as an industry leader in Operational Excellence, delivering legendary partner and client experiences, enhancing productivity, and effectively managing risk and controls.

Reporting directly to the Manager Client Reporting, this role is accountable for operational support, reporting, and analytics of client statements inquiries. This role will require the successful candidate to act as point of contact between our front-office business partners, lateral Wealth teams and vendors to ensure the swift resolution and ownership of complex statement issues.

Job Accountabilities

The officer will provide a range of analytical/ process support, reporting, analytics and assist with the review and reconciliation of client statements inquiries.  The officer will also work to highlight pain points and support redesigning of existing processes within the Client Reporting Team. You will play a crucial role in responding to enquiries, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of wealth management operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing accurate and timely investigations for Client Reporting inquiries received.

  • Drive continuous improvement of the current state Client Reporting model service level agreements (SLA) to enhance client experience and operational efficiencies

  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during the statement production process, collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders as necessary.

  • Exception Handling: Identify and escalate any exceptions, errors, or operational issues to the appropriate teams or management for further investigation and resolution.

  • Communication: Provide partners with clear, concise and timely communication, to ensure that all issues and responses are well understood

  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risks, and streamline reconciliation procedures.

  • Documentation and Compliance : Maintain comprehensive documentation supporting all investigation

  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, to facilitate seamless workflow and enhance overall operational effectiveness.

  • Reporting: Prepare and generate accurate reconciliation reports and management information, highlighting key findings, trends, and potential risks.

  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with statement generation activities, implement appropriate controls, and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.

  • Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to wealth management operations and reconciliation processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Prior experience in wealth management operations, investment banking, or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, investment products, and market conventions.

  • Proficiency in financial systems, and software applications including Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills applied towards sorting through data to identify and resolve account outages, perform complex investigations and root cause analysis

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex information clearly.

  • Solid understanding of risk management principles and the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
