The Principal Engineer serves as the senior technical leader responsible for defining and driving the technology vision, architecture strategy, engineering standards, and modernization roadmap across the Client Reference Data (CRD) and Markets Product Fulfillment portfolios. This role partners closely with business, product, architecture, cybersecurity, and engineering leaders to deliver scalable, resilient, secure, and AI-enabled platforms that support critical Markets onboarding, client data, settlement, fulfillment, and reference data capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
- Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience with AI products like Chat GPT, Claude, Devin & Gemini
- 5+ years of experience with multi-discipline data design, relational, NoSQL & Document Style
- 5+ years of experience with data replication technology & change data capture leveraging streaming (Apache Spark, Flink or others)
- 7+ years of Experience on data profiling and discovery, business and technical metadata management, master data processing - canonical vocabulary mapping, de-duping, and identity resolution
- 7+ years of experience working in Financial industry
- Experience with identity resolution, taxonomies, namespaces, ontology-based systems, and semantic technologies, including knowledge graphs, RDF, OWL, Neo4j, semantic layers, and query federation
- Experience designing resilient, highly available data solutions and implementing data integration, federation, and distribution patterns, including event-driven architectures, change data capture (CDC), and APIs
- Experience with Big Data and NoSQL technologies, including MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, Kafka, Spark, and similar distributed data platforms
- Strong understanding of quality, security, risk, and compliance requirements across enterprise data initiatives
- Broad and deep technical expertise in data architecture, object modeling, APIs, and service contracts
- Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to researching emerging technologies and industry trends

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$191,000.00 - $305,000.00
