The Global Addressable Media team is working across London and Amsterdam, delivering digital media services to connect brands with consumers via best-in-class digital ad experiences and drive sustainable growth. We believe in the core principle of Value for All, by leading the transformation of the digital advertising industry so it creates an honest, clear & meaningful value exchange for our people, clients, society, consumers and the media industry. Together with 100 like-minded colleagues we run digital campaigns for advertisers over 50+ markets around the world. What are you going to do?
This role, based within the International Brands division, is critical to accelerating the integration of Amplify as the Biddable Engine of RedStar, dentsu’s Global Media Team. The Client Partner will lead strategic initiatives such as the Effectiveness Program (automation through AI and offshore optimisation) and play a key role in showcasing Amplify’s success within HEINEKEN and across dentsu.
As the senior lead for the HEINEKEN account, the Client Partner is responsible for managing and growing the global relationship, delivering innovation in digital media, and ensuring both strategic and financial goals are met. This includes owning long- and short-term plans, driving business performance, and leading commercially impactful execution. Strong client relationships are at the heart of the role. The Client Partner must confidently engage senior stakeholders, understand evolving business needs, and identify growth opportunities, all while ensuring high-quality delivery and proactive problem-solving to foster long-term success.
Importantly, the role requires collaboration not only with global and regional HEINEKEN stakeholders, but also with Dentsu market-level teams. The ability to guide, educate, and elevate digital capabilities across a wide network of local teams is key to scaling success globally.
The role also involves leading a cross-functional team, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture. You’ll oversee business reviews, performance tracking, and market trend analysis to keep the client at the forefront of digital media innovation. In addition, you will play a role in raising the digital literacy of our wider network—sharing best practices, encouraging test & learn approaches, and driving knowledge-sharing across markets. Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, data fluency, and the ability to navigate complexity across global teams.
We are seeking a dynamic, commercially savvy individual with a proven track record in paid media leadership, client relationship management, and delivering innovative digital solutions at scale. You will play a vital role in shaping dentsu’s partnership with HEINEKEN, while positioning Amplify as a global benchmark for media transformation.
What are you going to achieve?
As the Global Client Partner for HEINEKEN, you are responsible for strategically leading and evolving HEINEKEN’s global digital media business within dentsu. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate the complexities of global marketing ecosystems. You will serve as the primary interface between dentsu and HEINEKEN, driving commercial growth, innovation, and operational excellence, while championing team health and long-term partnership success.
Strategic Leadership & Client Partnership
- Act as HEINEKEN’s trusted global advisor, leading the long-term digital media strategy while ensuring excellence in daily execution;
- Build and maintain strong relationships across global, regional, and market-level stakeholders, aligning on shared goals and needs;
- Represent and advocate for client priorities while setting clear expectations to avoid over-servicing and maintain quality delivery;
- Guide the integration and positioning of Amplify as the Biddable Engine of RedStar, helping to communicate and merchandise its success internally and with clients;
- Promote a collaborative knowledge exchange across markets to enhance consistency, learning, and local capability building.
Commercial Growth & Innovation
- Own the commercial success of the HEINEKEN account globally, including P&L management, growth through cross/upsell, and strategic expansion;
- Partner with product and partnership teams to drive innovation and future-ready solutions tailored to HEINEKEN’s evolving needs;
- Lead transformation initiatives like the CCE Program and Effectiveness Program, testing new operating models and scaling through automation and offshore optimisation;
- Support innovation not only through tech or tools but also by evolving media supply strategies in collaboration with global media and tech partners (e.g., managing Joint Business Partnerships).
Operational & Organizational Excellence
- Ensure operational efficiency through best practice implementation, structured workflows, and AI-enabled optimisation;
- Maintain clean administration, timely communication, and structured delivery to uphold professional standards;
- Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve process and performance across global delivery teams;
- Bring transparency and clarity to media delivery expectations, from planning through to execution, by guiding day-to-day delivery practices and ensuring smooth coordination across internal and external teams.
People & Culture Leadership
- Lead and inspire a high-performing, collaborative team aligned with dentsu’s values and client goals;
- Coach and support the team with clear structures, time management, and stress reduction to ensure sustainable performance;
- Play an active role in shaping team structure, talent development, and recruitment to align with long-term growth plans;
- Create opportunities for career progression by designing roles that support individual ambitions as well as client and business needs.
Who are you?
- You are a native Dutch speaker and/or fluent in English;
- You have 10+ years’ extensive experience in digital marketing- and/or media roles and familiar with the fundamentals of paid media;
- You are a strategic, trusted advisor to clients and can build deep client relationships;
- You have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape and evolving client needs;
- You are resilient, can proactively address challenges and are capable of challenging the status quo to drive improvement;
- You are collaborative, an excellent communicator, able and confident to represent our business;
- You enjoy managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across various teams, countries and cultures globally and can demonstrate that you have great leadership and influencing skills;
- You have strong people management skills and have experience with directly managing, developing and leading a team. You can inspire and connect talent and clients across teams;
- You have proven expertise in effectively managing a business commercially (e.g. controlling a P&L, annual and monthly forecasting, resource planning);
- You have a passion for the digital media industry, are up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies and like to share your point of view;
