Client Onboarding Specialist – LATAM
Location: Remote – United States (Preferred locations: New York or Miami)
Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (6 Months)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Outreach Specialist to support AML/KYC onboarding activities for one of our strategic financial services clients. In this role, you will act as a key connector across client outreach, banking coverage teams, and AML operations—helping ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation for Client Due Diligence (CDD) requirements.
You will serve as a primary point of coordination for onboarding activities, reaching out to clients for required documentation, addressing questions, and helping navigate process requirements. This is an impactful opportunity to combine relationship management, regulatory expertise, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to a seamless onboarding experience for high-priority clients.
Responsibilities
Client Outreach & Coordination
- Serve as the main point of contact for outreach related to AML/KYC onboarding documentation.
- Engage directly with clients to request, clarify, and collect CDD materials.
- Coordinate between coverage teams, AML operations, and compliance reviewers to support timely onboarding.
- Act as an escalation point for operational or documentation-related challenges
Onboarding Process Management
- Track onboarding populations and workflows in partnership with coverage and operations teams.
- Review incoming documentation for accuracy and completeness; obtain necessary internal approvals.
- Apply strong knowledge of CDD requirements to guide clients and resolve documentation gaps.
- Support consistent adherence to onboarding metrics, timelines, and service expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with teams across regions and lines of business to align with global KYC initiatives.
- Support adoption of process enhancements related to policy changes, technology improvements, and control remediation.
- Promote a culture of partnership, collaboration, and seamless service delivery.
Eligibility Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably within banking or financial institutions.
- Strong client-facing experience with demonstrated relationship management and influencing skills.
- Solid understanding of AML/KYC CDD requirements and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with operational workflows for onboarding, documentation, and compliance processes.
- Ability to anticipate issues, problem-solve proactively, and navigate complex onboarding scenarios.
- Comfort collaborating across global teams and working with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with CDD requirements for legal entities across global jurisdictions.
- Knowledge of investment banking or capital markets products and onboarding processes at international banks
In the US, the target base salary for this role is $80,000-$100,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors
