Functional Title:    Client Onboarding Manager 
Corporate Title /Grade:    Assistant Vice President 1
Reports to:    Ireland Head of Onboarding

Outline of position

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • The Client Onboarding Manager will be responsible for the onboarding and integration of new Apex Group clients in Ireland, Luxembourg and other European domiciles.
  • Key tasks will include coordination of client adoptions (KYC/AML), account openings, review and negotiation of funds offering documentation and legal agreements, internal system set ups, and project planning. 
  • The Client Onboarding Manager will be expected to coordinate internal functions to onboard new clients including Service Delivery Teams, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure all new launches and conversions are successfully project managed.
  • As part of the integration process, the candidate will be expected to provide regular status updates of onboardings and conversions to new clients. Weekly project calls should be held with stakeholders and project plans should be maintained to track progress.  
  • The Client Onboarding Manager will participate in regional new business meetings and provide updates to senior management and client services teams on integration projects they have been assigned. The candidate will also assist in the production of the new business report and other KPIs / management reports as required.
  • The Client Onboarding Manager will work with the Product team to develop best practices and operating models for integration to enhance the client onboarding experience.
  • Ensure integration of legacy businesses in the Group into the central onboarding process
  • Support other European offices when under resourced
  • Act as an escalation point for all onboarding related issues
  • Assist Heads of Onboarding in rolling out the Group onboarding procedure in all locations and business lines
  • Assist Heads of Onboarding in rolling out other onboarding initiatives as we streamline the process across the Group;
  • Enhance reporting for deals onboarded in European locations for Group consumption;

Required Skills

  • Bachelor / master's degree in accounting, finance, economics or any other related field;
  • The ideal candidate must have an excellent knowledge of funds industry and will have experience working on Hedge, Private Equity funds and other Apex Group products. Experience of different fund structures, domiciles (e.g. Ireland, Luxembourg) and regulatory requirements is an advantage;
  • Experience/knowledge of Custody/Depository/AIFM services is an advantage;
  • You should have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative. 
  • project management and coordination of internal functions to onboard new clients (launches and conversions) including Service Delivery, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams; 
  • maintenance of Salesforce and production of the new business, management, and KPI reports
  • Knowledge of Investran, Advent Geneva, Mantra, Paxus, eFront and other accounting or investor services systems an advantage but not a necessity.
  • We are looking for a Client Onboarding Manager to work with a top tier financial services provider. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone with a good knowledge of the funds industry looking to develop their skills further. The position is very much client facing and will involve client meetings. Additionally, the position will involve a high level of interaction with all functional areas within the fund administration company including Service Delivery teams, Technology, Product Management & Sales.

Performance
The successful candidate will be expected to work on his / her own initiative to successfully onboard new fund launches and conversions and ensure a positive onboarding experience for clients. Documentary and other standards should be used wherever practical to ensure consistency and efficiency.
