Job Details
A position has become available for a Client Manager to own relationships for some of the UK’s best-known Meat, Fish, and Poultry suppliers including Meat Free and Pet Food Brands! As global experts in shopper behaviour, we help suppliers, brands, retailers and government organisations to make the right strategic decisions. This includes responsibility for building client relationships through growing networks and delivering insights leading to real product, category and marketing change.
The role presents the opportunity to involve yourself with commercial opportunities through client work and joint projects with the New Business team. Additionally, there is also the opportunity to become a driving force behind wider team thought leadership & PR initiatives. Another key focus of the role will be the opportunity to coach and mentor more junior members of the team, supported by your line manager, to develop their careers.
Due to the data investment of your clients, you will work with the full range of data covering EPOS, purchase and consumption. This builds a 360-degree view of the shopper and delivers targeted, actionable insight to your contacts. The varied size of your client base gives you the autonomy to work independently and a real chance to impress at a senior level - both within Kantar and client side. An average month could involve delivering a Christmas review to category managers, shaping in-store fixtures for Burgers or measuring the success of the latest product launches.
You will be joining a hardworking team who are commercially successful, innovative and provide opportunities for further growth and development. As well as learning from your immediate team you'll benefit from being part of a supportive team of 14 Meat, Fish & Poultry experts working together to identify big stories in the category.

- Work with the Account Director to build and drive forward account plans for your portfolio.
- Spot opportunities to increase client access to our Shopper and Consumer data, as well as work with experts from across the business to convert new opportunities and ensure client return on investment.
- Work closely with the junior members in your portfolio to mentor them in their development, acting as a role model and feeding back when appropriate.
Person specification
- A passion for understanding consumer/shopper behaviour.
- Strong data & analytical skills with the ability to put together insightful and impactful presentations.
- Able to build and maintain fantastic client relationships, encouraging trust and confidence.
- Confident and experienced presenter able to present to a range of audiences.
- Ability to spot sales opportunities, propose solutions and convert them into a revenue stream.
- Keen to develop knowledge and be seen as an expert, talking articulately about the industry and client challenges to connect with client needs.
