Client KYC Assistant Manager| Client KYCAssistant Vice President – Level 1Role Location: MaltaDepartment: Client KYCEmployment Type: PermanentThe Role & Key Responsibilities:- The candidate will assist the manager with the internal review process across different product and service lines within fund administration, and other product lines.
- Key tasks will include (KYC/AML), reviewing and approving new business, periodic and trigger reviews.
- Providing support to the manager in day-to-day running of the Client KYC Desk.
- The candidate will be expected to have a high level of Client KYC technical skills and have a strong knowledge of the Malta Handbook requirements.
- The candidate must be able to identify potential risk factors and will be working closely with the local compliance team, making referrals when necessary, Following Company procedure at all times.
- To conduct screening upon request.
- As part of the New Business Client KYC process, the candidate will be expected to provide regular status updates to new clients and internal parties, weekly Client KYC calls will be held with stakeholders and project / remediation plans will need to be maintained to track the progress.
- Provide day-to-day client KYC onboarding advice across all Apex Group business lines to best meet their business needs and maintain good working relationships through active communication, facilitation and teamwork.
- To act as an escalation, contact for all Client KYC related matters.
- To build excellent working relationships with the team
- Completing any other tasks that may be assigned by the Head of Client KYC Operations.
- Work to support the integration of Apex acquisition companies to embrace the client KYC experience.
- Will report to the local Client KYC Manger.
- An individual with a bachelor/master’s degree qualification or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of KYC experience within the investment fund industry or equivalent
- A good knowledge of the funds industry, experience of different fund structures, domiciles and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and planning skills to deliver against agreed deadlines and objectives.
- Knowledge of Due Diligence, Compliance and Financial Structures in Offshore Locations, with exposure to other geographical locations.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, analytical, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and have the knowledge and skills to use their own initiative in handling clients’ queries and escalate to management when required.
- Ability to run and deliver on multiple projects and assignments.
- Adaptable and flexible to changes.
