Position Overview:
The Client Engagement Leader plays a key role in making an impact on our clients’ success through the delivery of our content. The role leads long-term client relationships with consulting skills and cultivates new client relationships through business development and leads strategic projects that directly advances the business. Supported by our Client Services team, this role also facilitates Chapman & Co. content with clients, in-person and virtual, with energetic and engaging delivery.
Areas of Focus:
Leads client project plans

Ensures all client onboarding and ongoing tasks are completed via standard checklist

Proactively researches clients to understand current state of their business and how this impacts our work

Develops and executes a project plan based on contract deliverables

Supports client team in completion of deliverables

Primary point of contact for client proactive and reactive communication, including progress summaries and status update calls/emails

Leads building new service standards, including scaling new offerings designing the delivery plan
Strengthen and expand client relationships

Co-leads client strategy or consulting sessions

Co-leads client discovery calls and drafting initial proposals and contracts with minimal Principal/Partner direction and edits

Demonstrates trust building with client (timely in communication, awareness of differing needs, effectively redirects changes or owns mistakes)

Identifies and recommends opportunities to expand client work/impact
Sales Cycle

Responsible for prospecting and contracting in-bound clients

Leads client proposals and contracts with minimal Partner/Principal direction

Co-leads solutioning for the client at front-end of the relationship

People Leadership responsibility - leadership of the client team and cultivates the skills of Associates, Specialists and Interns; may formally have a span of care

Skills and Qualifications:

Project Management: leads and coordinates multiple tasks and stakeholders, effectively plans and manages deadlines, identifies and mitigates against risks

Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)

Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

Effective mentoring and training

Leads client relationships effectively (SME in the clients needs, positive feedback)

Plans and aligns client work to drive relationship expansion

Facilitates training and/or consulting engagements

Consulting clients on C&Co. solutions

5 – 10 years’ as a consultant with business development experience

Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
