Job requirements
Are you an experienced professional working within the Pensions sector with a passion for getting things right for both our clients and members?
If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, we could have the perfect next role for you.
Joining us in a role that combines both client relationship and operational leadership responsibilities, as Client Director, you will play a pivotal role in the success of current and future client partnerships within the Edinburgh Aptia Portfolio.
You will champion service excellence, drive commercial growth and safeguard member satisfaction.
This role is hybrid aligned to our offices in Edinburgh, though other locations may be considered as long as there is flexibility to travel for client and team meetings as needed.
What you’ll be doing:
Own and nurture high-impact client relationships, ensuring alignment with service commitments and long-term objectives.
Lead the delivery of day-to-day services of Pension Administration teams, driving performance against a defined set of KPIs.
Identify opportunities for commercial growth and work closely with the Client Portfolio Owner to deliver revenue and contribution growth across your accounts.
Collaborate with Operations Directors to implement operational improvement plans that boost efficiency and enhance client value.
Ensure client work is compliant, controlled, and in line with internal policies and external regulatory expectations.
Strengthen client trust and engagement, with a relentless focus on retention and satisfaction.
Manage cost control, contribute to commercial planning, and support audit and financial reporting processes.
Act as the commercial lead for clients, delivering creative, value-adding financial and contractual solutions.
There may also be scope to work with some clients on the prospect of full-service pension consulting as per Aptia’s new proposition in this area.
If this sounds like your ideal next role, here is what we’re looking for:
Deep understanding of defined benefit (DB) pensions and the complexities of these schemes – this could be from an administration or consulting perspective.
A proven background in client-facing roles within third-party administration or consulting environments.
Strong operational and commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering against financial and performance targets.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
Please apply with your CV.
