JOB SUMMARY
The Client Development Unit (CDU) serves as the direct sales unit within the Group. The Unit collaborates closely with Financial Advisors, Account Executives, and the Marketing team, and other business development stakeholders to identify and pursue strategic opportunities across all lines of business. The goal is to drive sustainable growth and long-term value for the organization.
The incumbent will support the Client Development Unit and requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion, as confidentiality is essential.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage all assigned direct business leads to convert business, either directly or with the support of the relevant Units or Financial Advisors.
- CDU Representative must achieve annual production targets across all lines of business (life insurance, general insurance, and loans). Targets will be agreed upon in advance and subject to change. Leads would be provided.
- Assist assigned Financial Advisors with identifying growth opportunities within their portfolio.
- Effectively cross-sell to existing Clients.
- Services existing Clientele within Client Development Representative’s portfolio, inclusive of un-serviced clients.
- Complete allocated Special Discounts within 4 hour of receipt.
- Coordinate & attend, as necessary, any marketing events or activity for the Client Development Unit. This may involve weekends.
SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides support to the Team Leader.
- Participates in projects, meetings, training and presentations when necessary.
- Assists with special marketing exercises.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with mCRM and MDS initiatives:
- Assisting with field onboarding and training, either individual or through MLCL Product Training
- Assisting with the preparation of usage reports
- Assisting with field queries
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Minimum 5 CSEC passes inclusive of Grade 1 or 2 in Mathematics and English A and
8 CAPE passes (full certificate) or an equivalent diploma or professional certificate
Degree in Business or related field
Experience
Minimum two (2) years industry or sales experience required
