JOB SUMMARY
The Client Development Unit (CDU) serves as the direct sales unit within the Group. The Unit collaborates closely with Financial Advisors, Account Executives, and the Marketing team, and other business development stakeholders to identify and pursue strategic opportunities across all lines of business. The goal is to drive sustainable growth and long-term value for the organization.
The incumbent will support the Client Development Unit and requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion, as confidentiality is essential.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct follow-ups with clients regarding:
- Outstanding documents (e.g., valuations, certified copies, incomplete proposal forms, etc)
- Updates on previously provided quotes by CDU Representatives
- Lapse notifications
- Outstanding policy renewals
- Premium financing arrears and cancellations
- Assist with gathering relevant information from walk-in clients to support CDU Representatives in generating quotes.
- Liaise with the GIS team to obtain GIS contracts and endorsements.
- Complete allocated Special Discounts within 4 hours of receipt.
- Coordinate & attend, as necessary, any marketing events or activity for the Client Development Unit. This may involve weekends.
- Manage the stationery and office supply stock for the Unit, including monitoring supply levels, coordinating reordering, and distributing supplies to team members.
- Coordinate team activities within the unit, including meetings, team building activities, etc.
SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides support to the Team Leader of CDU.
- Participates in projects, meetings, training and presentations when necessary.
- Assists with special marketing exercises.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with mCRM and MDS initiatives:
- Assisting with field onboarding and training, either individual or through MLCL Product Training
- Assisting with the preparation of usage reports
- Assisting with field queries
- Provide support to Corporate Relations for the provision of client hampers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Minimum 5 CSEC passes inclusive of Grade 1 or 2 in Mathematics and English A and
8 CAPE passes (full certificate) or an equivalent diploma or professional certificate
Experience
Minimum two (2) years experience in similar/related role
