Job Details
The Client Development Manager serves as the primary business contact for clients and is responsible for account management, client happiness and financial targets within the sales team. This role is encouraged to consistently provide excellent customer service to our external clients’ accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organisation to ensure quality. In addition, the role will establish and build close working relationships with clients to present new and existing innovative ways to sampling, to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
Role/ Responsibilities
The role incorporates the following elements:
- Developing and completing a client retention and growth plan to identify potential areas for improvement and appropriate sales/marketing-related activities
- Seeking out business development opportunities within the market from existing and new client base
- Liaison face-to-face with end clients as well as direct clients to be the face of the business and contribute ideas to brainstorming sessions internally and externally
- Developing a positive ongoing client/account relationship
- Presenting company credentials, training, and developing the client on the agreed Kantar Profiles processes and procedures for the efficient running of projects
- Identifying gaps in client-service processes (both business development and client operations) and recommending improvements
- Providing knowledge of Kantar Profiles panel and feasibility/pricing approach to the client and their project managers/client servicing managers/directors
- Contributing to client briefs by improving research design and promptly delivering accurate proposals.
- Communicating optimally with the client, empathising with their needs and actioning the appropriate method to meet their requirements and objectives
- Assisting to maintain existing account relationships to ensure they remain healthy, productive, and mutually beneficial, with a goal of securing repeat business and achieving targeted revenues
- Attending industry and networking events
Successful Candidate
- Proven experience in selling data collection services, or full-service market research;
- Must have a knowledge of the Market Research Industry;
- Ability to develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships. Successfully handles client expectations;
- Proven track record working with sales organisations to achieve and exceed their sales goals;
- Skilled negotiator. Negotiates or mediates discussions competently, making concessions while accomplishing goals and protecting interests;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
