To support the Unit by performing clerical functions, to include filing correspondence and processing New Claims.

To assist in the delivery of exceptional service to all internal and external clients which result in client satisfaction.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

1. New Claims

 

  • Open new claim files
  • Requesting policy files
  • Complete information on motor claims jacket
  • Pass files to be reserved by the coordinator
  • Data entry of new claims in the system
  • Record new claims in the claims register
  • Filing of correspondence for claim files
  • Collection / sending out of mail
  • Printing motor checklist and status sheets for auditing purposes

 

2. Claim Payments

 

  • Data Entry of motor claim payments

 

Secondary Responsibilities           

 

Providing basic client services to clients:

 

  • Assist clients/brokers/team members with inquiries where possible/requested
  • Preparation of letters for clients/brokers/team members
  • Assisting recoveries unit- re: reimbursements, first letters and documentation
  • Cheque payments and batching
  • Month end close off and housekeeping
  • Any other function that may be required

Qualifications

Education

Minimum 5 CSEC passes inclusive of Grade 1 or 2  in Mathematics and English A and

5 CAPE passes (full certificate) or an equivalent diploma or professional certificate

Degree in Management or related field of study

Industry Qualifications would be an asset

Experience

Minimum one (1) year experience in data entry and customer service
