Job DescriptionAs a Client Assistant Accountant, you'll support the day-to-day management of private equity, real estate, credit, or debt fund clients, ensuring accurate fund accounting, investor reporting, financial statement preparation, cash movement communication, and timely delivery of client reporting requirements while building strong stakeholder relationships and driving operational excellence.
What you'll do
- You'll manage designated fund clients, serving as a key point of contact while building strong relationships with clients, CFOs, financial controllers, and internal stakeholders
- You'll prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, reports, and fund transactions in accordance with applicable accounting frameworks, including UK GAAP and IFRS
- You'll calculate, review, and communicate investor drawdowns, distributions, and cash movements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely issuance of investor notices
- You'll oversee client deliverables by coordinating timelines, monitoring progress, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are consistently met
- You'll apply strong organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and process improvement skills while collaborating with team members, taking ownership of deliverables, and contributing to operational efficiency and risk reduction

- You hold a higher-level education qualification, IATI qualification, or an equivalent accounting credential, with progress toward ACCA or ACA professional certification
- You have passed at least five ACCA exams or CAP1 ACA exams, and where applicable, possess a minimum of two years of accounting or professional experience to meet exemption requirements
- You have experience preparing and reviewing working paper files, financial statements, and related disclosures, or can demonstrate a strong accounting foundation through prior experience and continuing professional development
- You have proven experience managing client relationships, addressing client queries, and resolving issues effectively while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement
- You possess intermediate Excel skills and can apply strong analytical, organizational, and accounting capabilities to support financial reporting and client deliverables

Skills Required
- Higher-level education qualification, IATI qualification, or equivalent accounting credential with progress toward ACCA or ACA
