Who we are looking for
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and relationship-oriented professional to join the Clients & IM (Investment Managers) Onboarding Office and Strategic Projects team. This role sits at the center coordinating cross-functional teams to execute New Client and Investment Manager onboardings and manage strategic client projects from initiation through completion.
You will act as a coordinator and driver of progress within the Client Service, ensuring scope clarity, governance discipline, stakeholder alignment, and delivery against agreed milestones. You will partner closely with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Product) and external client stakeholders to deliver a high-quality, predictable onboarding and project experience.
Why This Role Matters
Client and Investment Manager onboarding and strategic client initiatives are critical moments that shape long-term client satisfaction and operational success. This role helps ensure:
Onboardings launch smoothly and on time, with clear ownership, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Strategic projects deliver measurable outcomes, aligned to client priorities and State Street commitments.
Cross-functional execution is coordinated, reducing rework and preventing delays caused by unclear dependencies.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Onboarding Delivery & Execution Management
Lead day-to-day coordination of Investment Manager onboardings, ensuring activities are sequenced, owned, and delivered to plan.
Build and maintain onboarding plans, including milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across all involved teams.
Run regular governance routines (status reviews, workstream check-ins, readiness checkpoints), ensuring decisions and actions are tracked to closure.
Proactively manage onboarding risks, issues, and changes, escalating appropriately with clear options and impact analysis. Strategic Client Projects Management
Manage strategic client projects end-to-end (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure) using basic PMO discipline.
Define project scope, success criteria, and delivery approach in partnership with stakeholders.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on timeline, deliverables, and responsibilities.
Track project progress against milestones, identify blockers early, and drive resolution through structured follow-up
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and internal partners, enabling effective collaboration and timely decisions.
Facilitate cross-team alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and dependency management.
What We Value
Structured execution – You bring order to complexity: plans, cadence, clear actions, and disciplined tracking.
Communication – You are clear, concise, and confident in written and verbal updates.
Proactivity – You identify risks early, propose solutions, and escalate with clarity when needed.
Adaptability – You can manage shifting priorities while protecting critical milestones and client commitments.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Experience in project management / coordination roles (client delivery, onboarding, transformation, operations, technology delivery, or similar).
Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging internal senior partners and external client contacts.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams and activities while maintaining focus on deadlines and milestones.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).
What You’ll Gain
Hands-on exposure to Investment Manager onboarding and strategic client initiatives in a global financial services environment.
A platform to grow toward broader PM/PMO, client delivery leadership, or product/operational transformation roles.
