The Role

The primary function of this role is providing client support from an operational perspective.  The employee will focus on building relationships, resolving operational challenges through all stages of the transplant billing event.  The candidate will respond to inquiries by providing a single point of contact to coordinate resolution of complex issues by working with internal matrix partners which includes LifeSOURCE-dedicated staff such as the Benefit Support Specialists, Case Managers (CM), Account Managers (AMs), Contracting, Quality, Pricing, Sales, Reporting, the Everest Application team along with Cigna's external customers.  This single point of contact promotes consistency in processes, drives efficiency and reduction in errors which ultimately supports client customer satisfaction.  This role will be largely self-directed and will function with a low to moderate level of guidance and requires the candidate to be well-versed and trained in many aspects of each team’s tasks/functions in order to manage customer service-related challenges.

The primary role for this position will be preparing the monthly access fee billing file for the LifeSOURCE monetization billing project (initially Proclaim ASO without Stop Loss, but slated to grow in the future), including pulling all supporting documentation to calculate the access fees, working with Everest to ensure all data elements are supplied to correctly bill clients, monitoring mailbox to resolve billing questions and provide supporting documentation as required, along with assisting with ad hoc reporting.

This is a newly-developed position; as such, this role will be responsible for recognizing, recommending and driving process improvements within and across the teams.  The employee will be responsible for developing details SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the role and detailed work processes.  This role may provide assistance with special projects, such as updating tables to support the automation of the new Access Fee Billing process.  All these activities will contribute to additional access fee revenue.  This role will also be used to backfill other areas as required during vacations and other special projects.

This role will also conduct internal audits for the department by reviewing/auditing billing files to ensure accuracy and verifying that revenue opportunities are not missed.
