What success looks like in this role:
- Discovery & Assessment: Perform environment discovery, analyze configurations, and support transition and documentation activities.
- Solution Design & Architecture: Design database solutions across RDMS and DMS models aligned to infrastructure, storage, and DR requirements.
- Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade database components, ensuring security, performance, and proper access control.
- Steady-State Administration: Perform monitoring, tuning, backup/recovery, and SLA-driven operational support.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL (RDMS) and access paths (DMS), monitor utilization, and support capacity planning.
- Database Upgrades: Execute upgrades, schema changes, and reorganizations under ITIL change control.
- ITIL Service Management: Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Automation & Tooling: Utilize monitoring, scheduling, and automation tools.
- Disaster Recovery: Maintain and test recovery procedures and ensure RTO/RPO alignment.
- Multi-Customer Support: Manage multiple customer environments and prioritize based on SLA and business criticality.
- On-Call Support: Participate in 24x7 rotation and respond to critical incidents.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and support knowledge transfer.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Strong expertise in ClearPath OS2200 environments
- Experience with RDMS (SQL) and DMS database models
- Database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and administration
- ITIL / ServiceNow experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate in multi-client managed services environments
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
