Role Overview

  • Mission: The Claims Supervisor directs and coordinates all daily operations of the Claims Team and claims. They provide vision and leadership in long-range planning to ensure the team's success. The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to manage conflict, stress, and crisis situations through effective problem-solving and mediation skills.

  • Objective: This role oversees and enforces established policies, procedures, and guidelines related to claims. Additionally, the Claims Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for the outsourcing partner claims team.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to ensure the company’s mission and core beliefs are upheld.

  • Develop business strategies to ensure consistent claims processes align with clients, guests, and carrier needs.

  • Manage escalations related to the claims process and ensure timely resolution.

  • Develop forms, tools, reports, training materials, and processes to enhance company efficiency and risk management.

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

  • Effectively manage the team through clear, direct, consistent, and respectful communication.

  • Maintain accurate records of performance and productivity.

  • Handle employee complaints.

  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

  • Supervise outsourcing partner work product

  • Delegate and assign work among the team.

  • Make independent decisions using discretion and judgment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Must have a college degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other computer software.

  • Call center experience is a plus.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well, accept feedback, delegate work assignments, grant authority to work independently, set expectations, and monitor delegated activities.
