Essential Functions:
Digitally open, scan, and index incoming mail to claims files in multiple systems. Accesses fax server to obtain, scan, and process the faxes to claim files in Filehandler Claims System and CLMS.
Processes paid invoice documents from payable rollups to files in Filehandler Claims System.
Completes new claims set ups within four hours of receipt. Completes requests from adjusters, such as finding faxes, mailing letters, or printing.
Answers customer call inquiries and provides customer service to callers.
Researches claims in Filehandler Claims System and transfers calls from vendors, providers, and clients to the appropriate adjuster.
Completes transcription requests and data entry assignments.
Monitors and logs videos and photos to the claim files.
Completes administrative special projects, such as data transfer or filings for a new client, scanning policies, or entering data.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency
One year of claims or office support experience
Transcription experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Good computer skills
Ability to file alpha and numeric information accurately
Strong customer service skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $18.00-$22.00 range or the $18.00-$24.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
