Join our Team as a Claims Manager
The Claims Manager will oversee our insurance claims related to property damage and first party liability. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of claims adjusters, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, and maintaining relationships with policyholders and other stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:
- Manage a team of claims adjusters and ensure all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Review claims and determine coverage.
- Work with adjusters and appraisers to assess property damage.
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders or their representatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Maintain relationships with policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on claims status and performance metrics to senior management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve claims processing and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement technologies to improve claims management processes.
- Execute and manage catastrophe response.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property claims management
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and team management experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Professional certification in claims management or insurance is a plus
