Join our Team as a Claims Manager


The Claims Manager will oversee our insurance claims related to property damage and first party liability. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of claims adjusters, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, and maintaining relationships with policyholders and other stakeholders.

 

Role and Responsibilities


To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of CITON Claims Solutions operation standards, established security/safety rules, and requirements for attendance. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:

 

  • Manage a team of claims adjusters and ensure all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Review claims and determine coverage.
  • Work with adjusters and appraisers to assess property damage.
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders or their representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain relationships with policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports on claims status and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve claims processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement technologies to improve claims management processes.
  • Execute and manage catastrophe response.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property claims management
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Professional certification in claims management or insurance is a plus

The office environment is fast-paced and collaborative.  An employee must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands. 

 

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (<25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.  In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
