As a Claims Learning Consultant, you'll make a direct impact on the success of Claims team members by designing and delivering engaging learning programs that build technical, system, and professional capabilities. Working closely with leaders and subject matter experts, you'll develop training solutions, support key business initiatives and system enhancements, and drive continuous improvement through learner feedback and data insights. Your work will help strengthen employee performance, improve customer outcomes, and support the overall success of the Claims organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training programs for Claims team members.

  • Create learning materials, including facilitator guides, job aids, learner resources, and supporting documentation.

  • Support training initiatives related to business processes, system implementations (e.g., Guidewire), and operational needs.

  • Apply adult learning principles to drive engagement, knowledge retention, and on-the-job performance.

  • Maintain and update training content to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with current processes and systems.

  • Facilitate training sessions for Claims employees and leaders across multiple business lines.

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing learning support to reinforce skill development.

  • Partner with Claims leaders and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and training needs.

  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives involving system training, process improvements, compliance, and customer experience.

  • Manage training activities within Workday Learning, including assignments, enrollments, scheduling, and learner communications.

  • Serve as a resource for training-related questions and learning program support.

  • Analyze learner feedback, participation data, and training outcomes to improve content, delivery methods, and overall program effectiveness.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance, business, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Five years of experience in Claims operations or training, claim handling, or related experience, including experience with claims systems such as Guidewire

  • Prior experience in instructional design and facilitation preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of commercial Claims processes

  • Thorough knowledge of property and casualty insurance and terminology

  • Strong knowledge of technology, including Microsoft 365

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong documentation, organization, and training design abilities

  • Ability to leverage automation or AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative cycle with multiple projects under scheduled deadlines

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing priorities

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either of the following:

$78,726 - $108,771 or $87,008 - $119,646

A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.

Skills Required
