- Ensure the claim is registered and adequacy of reserve provision.
- To appoint Adjusters or Solicitors on a case to case basis.
- Closely monitor the submission of the Adjuster report in accordance to the Internal/ External guidelines.
- To attend incoming phone calls/ emails from customers/ agents/ solicitor/ internal parties.
- To monitor on the fraud elements and adjuster irregularity while processing the claim and informed to the direct superior for the further action
- To verify, assess, approve and authorize payment promptly all claims within authority and for claims exceeding authority to process, recommend and submit to Unit Head/ Head, BA/FA for consideration in order to meet Customer Service.
- To ensure all recovery cases are actively pursued. Monitored, updated and reported to the Unit Head/ Head, BA/FA on monthly basis.
- To provide guidance and direction to subordinates/ Branches/ Customers in relation to technical claims matters in enhancing customers service standard.
- To refer immediately any complaints received from Customers, BNM, PIAM, OFS, Branches to Unit Head/ HOD, so that these are promptly and effectively resolved.
- To monitor and review files at least once a year.
- Ensure each claims and potential claims are adequately reserved.
- To ensure all claims suspected having fraud elements or in violation of policy conditions are brought to attention of Unit Head/Head, BA/FA claims and in the absence to the Head, BA/FA/Chief Executive Officer before repudiation.
- Ensure all necessary advices to Treaty Reinsurers/ XOL are submitted as required and laid down under the Reinsurance Agreement.
- Ensure adherence to all laws, regulations and BNM Policy Document on Claims Settlement Practices (CSP PD) dated 1st July 2024.
- To carry out duties and functions as and when required or instructed by Unit Head/ Head, BA/FA/Management.
