We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Team at Marsh. This role will be based either in Sydney or Melbourne office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role, you will provide a high level of day-to-day claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation. You will play a significant role in risk management and loss prevention which may involve legal and financial aspects.
We will count on you to:
- Ideally someone with strong understanding of claims processes with excellent negotiation skills.
- Analyse documents and conducting investigations.
- Preparing detailed reports and negotiating settlements.
- Reviewing contracts and project documents to identify potential issues.
- Collaborating with legal teams to support litigation or arbitration processes.
- Interpreting and actioning assessor, adjusting and expert reports, managing and instructing investigations and implementing findings in accordance with the overall strategy
- Manage a portfolio of material damage claims effectively to achieve solid financial outcomes through effective decision making
- Preparation for and attendance at settlement conferences, hearings, and other dispute resolution activities
- Maintain the claims management system, including claim estimates.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and ethical standards, liaising with stakeholders as necessary.
What you need to have:
- Experience in insurance claims or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions, solve problems and establish work priorities, either while working independently or as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise, communicate and negotiate with a wide range of personnel from public and private sectors.
- Effective computer literacy, including basic skills in MS Excel, Outlook & Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
