The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Claims & Billing Lead  to lead the end-to-end claims and billing process across a complex program environment.

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for driving accurate, compliant and commercially sound claims submissions, ensuring all supporting documentation, approvals and evidence are provided to facilitate timely client review, approval and payment.

 

Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial, Finance, Operations and client-facing teams, you will play a critical role in improving claim accuracy, reducing billing delays, strengthening governance and supporting strong commercial outcomes across the business. What You'll Do

  • Lead the preparation, validation and submission of claims and billing packs in accordance with contractual requirements and billing milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure claims are accurate, fully substantiated and ready for client approval.
  • Drive billing governance, audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives across the claims function.
  • Partner with operational, commercial and finance leaders to resolve claim issues, mitigate risk and optimise cash flow outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a team of Billing & Claims Administrators, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy and service excellence.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a commercially astute leader with strong experience managing billing, claims, finance administration or commercial functions within a complex project-based environment.

 

  • Proven leadership experience managing high-volume claims, billing or commercial administration teams.
  • Strong understanding of contractual frameworks, financial controls and governance requirements.
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior operational, commercial and finance stakeholders.
  • Experience within infrastructure, utilities, engineering, construction or services-based industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualifications highly regarded.
