  • Performs all related claims facilitating tasks as well as receiving and releasing of claim documents and checks to clients, advisors & other departments in SL, claim record creation, handling of claims & maturity payments; preparation of check requests, monitoring reports and letters and attending to claim notification and inquiries (email & phone).

Preferred skills/knowledge

  • Knowledge of life insurance basic concepts and operations.
  • ING, PRISM, CLAIMS, CAS, LGS, WMS

Qualifications

  • Mininum Typical Experience
  • Graduate of a 4-year course

Responsibilities

  • Records all claims received
  • Prepares FIS for approved or denied claims according to instructions from Claim Analysts and for approval of Claim Analyst/Claims Manger/Head, Claims; prepares FIS for maturities (individual life and PN plans) for approval of Claim Analysts/Claims Manager/Head, Claims
  • Receives and processes incoming mail; locates claim files, attaches received claim documents and endorses to Claim Analyst in charge
  • Prepares transmittal forms and releases claim checks, letters and other documents.
  • Prepares claim approval and denial letters, maturity notices and maturity cover letters.
  • Attends to inquiries from advisors, clients and staff over the counter, e-mail and telephone.
  • Processes requests for Letter of Authority re Free Diagnostic Procedures
  • Prepares assigned reports.
  • Processes billing statements of inspection agencies
  • Requisitions and safekeeping of Claims Section supplies
  • Attends to logistics requirements for Section meetings & access to application
  • Other claim facilitating tasks
