Assist clients with claim reporting, monitor open claims, educate clients, and support the Commercial Claim team, requiring knowledge of property/casualty insurance.

Essential Functions
- Assist clients with claim reporting by collecting relevant information and submitting on their behalf.
- Obtain confirmation of new claims including claim number and adjuster assignment.
- Effectively utilize MJ’s client management system and document management system in order to appropriately document claim activity.
- Provide ongoing monitoring of open claims through internal diary system. Obtain status from carrier based on type of claim and severity.
- Educate clients on the claim handling process.
- Address client claim-related concerns and inquiries on a daily on-demand basis. Respond to pre-determined internal inquiries, obtaining and relaying information as requested.
- Assist with formal client onboarding to include tailored form creation and carrier website access and training.
- Complete annual checkup of special handling guidelines per client
- Collaborate with and support the Commercial Claim team.
Technical Functions
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Entry level knowledge of property/casualty insurance
- Effectively utilize access to various carrier websites, developing proficiency in navigating portals

Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area; work equivalent
- Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain)
- A minimum of 1 year experience in the insurance industry in a Claims or related position
- Demonstrated skills: sense of urgency, detail-oriented, excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate among the team daily and contribute to MJ’s culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional presentation
