We are looking for an experience Claims and Underwriting Administrator to join our Insurance Policy Administration team. This role will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town.
Responsibillities:
- Accepts claims from clients, brokerage or related third party
- Captures new business policies
- Endorsements, Amendments and Renewal of policies
- Post-loss underwriting
- Analysis and claims rejection of claims
- Ensures cover exists and that claims are completed
- Negotiates claims settlements
- Follows up with Insurers for claims progress
- Liaises with clients on all aspects of the claim
- Sends notification to clients upon completion and repudiation of claims
- Effectively handles client queries
- Liaises with Insurers and Brokerage Salesforce to ensure correct claims administration
- Administers Bank confirmations
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Computer literate
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in short term insurance claims and underwriting (essential)
- Sound knowledge of claims processes (repudiation, analysis, and assessor reports)
