The Claims Analyst partners with internal colleagues, external customers, vendors, and other parties to address and resolve account reconciliation issues
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive business relationships both internally and externally to promote company goals
- Research claims to determine appropriate action for claim resolution based on warranty, inspection report, lab results, input from dealer, etc.
- Research chargebacks and disputed invoices resulting in an appropriate resolution
- Assist the Credit Department in resolving issues that could potentially prohibit the shipment of orders
- Process all claims with attention given to each request in a timely manner
- Serve as a liaison for dealers and sales force for determining a resolution and following up on pending claims
- Work with Quality Control on defect resolution
- Schedule return authorizations with dealer, carrier, or warehouses
- Correspond with carrier and dealers regarding damaged or lost freight claims
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of carpet claims experience preferred
- Knowledge of the carpet manufacturing process preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Knowledge of Customer Service functions as it pertains to claim resolution
- Proficient and accuracy with computers, AS400 system, Word, and Excel
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and time management skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
